 I was unwell for a lot of 2022; visiting doctors often. March, May, June calendars suffered and finishing things were almost an impossibility. Most of the doodles I did accomplish, I LOVE, especially the owls (that I absconded from Pinterest). CALENDARS

This book won me over for my 2022 book. The pages felt comparable to the Tomoe River paper I had become accustomed to. The crinkle... oh, the crinkle... of a watercolored page was music to my ears. I'll do a fountain pen ink test in another post. I saw someone carrying and using a leather covered bullet journal. I fell in love, So I ordered one,. It took almost two weeks or research before I settled on:

Front & Back
As you can see, of all the inks & mediums I used, only the Sharpie bled through to the back. ​Then I broke the spine of the notebook and all hell broke loose. The signatures became misaligned and the smoothness of the edges became rough and uneven. It was also THICK. |

However, I tried several other notebooks in the cover and they worked just fine.(pictured below is the cover and an Artist's Loft hardback book. (measuring; (11/16†/ 1.8 cm/ 18 mm)
​I did, however, commission a friend to add some elastics so I could use it as a traveller's notebook. I am in absolute love!

Artist
Erma has been drawing she was a small child. She received lessons in chalk pastels at age 7, taught herself calligraphy at age 11, and learned the basics of figure drawing at age 13. She became a professional calligrapher in 1995.
