Mom: Oh! Ohma! I got card. Me: What did you get a card for? Mom: I was at the store getting some wine and the lady asked me for ID. She make my day, Ohma. Me: That's great mom. Mom: Then at work, some man in the parking lot tell me "Oh... You so pretty... Mucho pretty... Mucho this... Mucho that..." I yell in the store, "Javier, don't sell this man anymore beer. He's drunk." Trying to figure out the best day to drop off mom's present for the holiday.... Last week: Me: Mom, before I leave, let's get on the computer so I can buy you that blouse you wanted. Mom: Just bring me money, Ohma. Me: I always give you money... Christmas, Birthdays, Mother's Day... Let me get you something else this time. Mom: Ohma, if you always give me money, what make a difference this time? Just bring me the money..... To my work.... So my co-worker can get jealous.... Her kids never do anything for her. I'm dropping off her present on Monday when the co-worker will be there.

Then I went over to The Fremont Street Experience Neonopolis where the Songkran Las Vegas festival was being held. Here is some basic info: "Songkran is for many Nations. Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Sri Lanka, Yunnan and more. Deriving from the Sanskrit language, the word Songkran means to pass or to move into. In this context, the meaning implies the passing and the moving of the sun, the moon and the other planets into one of the zodiacal orbits. The Grand Songkran Festival which falls in Aries indicates the new era of the Thai New Year. Thai people will find time to perform their annual rites of showing respect to their ancestors. Thais pay respect to their elders by sprinkling their hands with scented water. The most famous aspect of the Songkran celebrations is the throwing of water. The custom originates from spring cleaning aspect of Songkran. Part of the ritual was the cleaning of images of Buddha. Using the 'blessed' water that cleaned the images to soak other people is seen as a way of paying respect and bring good fortune. They Have Risen - A Zombie Tribute Art Show
by Lisa Dittrich at Alternate Reality Comics http://randomalchemy.com/ https://www.facebook.com/lisad.randomalchemy On Sunday, I spent time with the ladies of The Curvaceous Bounty of Sin City. Cohosting duties were in order since Sierra was off on a Valentine's adventure for the weekend. The guest was Steve from Frugal Pest Control who told us everything we needed to know about bedbugs *willies* and then talked about being an FA; a Fat Admirer. Top: Toxi, SweetCheeks, and Glitz Center: SweetCheeks, me, Steve, Steve Bottom: Toxi, Glitz Find the Curvaceous Bounty of Facebook here. It was a full Saturday. First I went to help move some furniture and had a bit of a reunion with many of my former fellow church members. I was also able to visit with my lady, always a nice thing. Stopped at the Laos Asian Market at DI and Pecos and picked up a few items including the chili sauce that is so amazingly tasty that I use it for almost everything. Then I went shopping for art supplies. I needed a new watercolor brush and decided on a Neptune size 10. The gentlemen at Desert Art Supplies said I would love it. I used it for the Lupercal and so far so good. I then visited the Bell Book and Candle store to help Lady Airrawind with social media. We converted the BBC Facebook profile to a page and I gave her 3 tasks for the week. See here for more info on the tasks. While at the BBC, I saw that many of the small artsy item tags were still being used. They are starting to fade but Yay! it was exciting to see them. I'm pretty sure it was about 2005 when I created them, maybe even a bit earlier. Then, I volunteered to work the door at the German-American Social Club of NV for their Valentines Dinner. With help from Rose and Chris, it went well except for a couple of glitches. And since I don't eat pork, Silvia, the night's chef, made chicken for me. Awwww shucks. :-) The Poole Party entertained and the drinks were flowing. And then I made some art which reminded me that you do the watercolor before you do the writing. Still, it didn't turn out too bad, if you like that messy kind of art thing. Not really my style but aesthetically pleasing enough. It's been a while.
